Postoperative precautions for disposable circumcision stapler

Time:2021-03-04 11:39:36 Popularity:132

The disposable circumcision stapler is a method of using the inner and outer rings to block the blood supply of excess foreskin, promote its atrophy and natural shedding, and connect the inner and outer skin plates. Compared with traditional circumcision, the disposable circumcision stapler has the advantages of no incision, seamless closure, minimally invasive, short surgical time, minimal pain, normal operation and shower after surgery, no obvious scars on the foreskin after surgery, and a flat and smooth incision. The disposable circumcision stapler has the following precautions after surgery.

1. Patients should pay attention to keeping the wound clean and dry. They can take a shower on the day after surgery, and it is encouraged to take a shower every day. However, after taking a shower, the wound must be immediately dried with a hair dryer to avoid infection. After drying, use disinfectant to disinfect the incision.

2. After the circumcision surgery, patients should not stay in the same position for too long, such as standing and sitting for too long. After the surgery, some patients found severe foreskin edema during follow-up visits, and asked, many of them sat there every day, surfing the internet and playing mahjong. In addition, clothes can be used to raise the penis during sleep to avoid sagging and reduce edema.

3. The foreskin ring is usually very tight and has a low chance of falling off unless it is forcefully touched, so vigorous activity should be avoided.

4. The diet should be light, but sufficient nutrition should be ensured. Avoid spicy and stimulating foods such as ginger and chili peppers. Do not smoke or drink alcohol, nor eat seafood or other hair products. These foods are not conducive to wound healing.

5. A patient's penis erection at night is a normal phenomenon. They may have an erection several times a night and may not sleep well. When the erection causes pain, they can go to the restroom and usually soften quickly.

6. You can go to the hospital to remove the commercial ring 8-10 days after surgery. Do not take a shower for 3 days after removing the ring, as the wound is open and taking a shower may increase the risk of infection. Use disinfectant solution to disinfect twice a day.

7. During the activity, you can use the wound dressing matched with the commercial ring to wrap the wound tightly. When wrapping it slightly, it can press down the swelling area and reduce the swelling. When returning home to rest at night, there is no need to pack and try to wear loose and breathable clothes.

8. After removing the ring, there may be a small amount of dehiscence and yellow pus like secretion on the wound surface, which is mostly normal. However, there may be redness, swelling, burning, and pain in the incision. You should seek medical attention from your doctor to determine if the incision is infected. If necessary, antibiotics should be administered.
